Lee Wen is a Chinese author and translator and was born and raised in Beijing. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in English and received his MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College. He debuted as a writer in 2007 with the novel "Footsteps," which won the 2009 Top Ten Book Award (Children's Literature) from the American Library Association (ALA)
Since then, he has published several other novels, including "The Invisible Guest," "His Father's Son," and "The Rainmaker." He has also translated several books, including: Peter Ho Davies' novel, "The Accident" (2012) and three short stories by Arthur Golden (2011). He is also working on his first novel for young readers.
